This year’s event also honored the first recipients of IEHP’s INSPIRE Awards, which highlight our providers, community organizations and partners for their commitment to the health plan’s mission to “heal and inspire the human spirit.” This year’s awards recognized Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County for their dedication to eliminating effects of poverty and SAC Health System for their tireless support and service to residents in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
In collaboration with IEHP, CAP created drive-thru food distribution events at our Community Resource Centers, shared logistics and best practices learnings with the IEHP team, and supported food pick-ups, baby diapers, formula, toys, and Thanksgiving meals.
In 2021, SAC Health partnered with IEHP to offer services by 2022 in underserved rural expansion areas. SAC Health worked tirelessly to open these new clinics in time to welcome our new Members in the communities of Blythe and Barstow.
